In the late 1980's, My mother worked for a small family business in Noosa, Queensland, Australia.

I'm told that every christmas, the owner's wife would bake these incredibly moist traditional fruit cakes that were simply irresistible ! When she asked for the recipe, it was explained that it wasn't just about the ingredients; it was what she used to bake them in and to her surprise, the secret was a timber cake box. She couldn't believe it at first, that you could bake in a timber box.

This sparked a passion in her to produce these timber cake boxes and share this baking experience with as many people as possible.

For years now, My father has been making these timber cake boxes for her. She has tested them time and time again, and every time the result is the same; an incredibly moist cake, whether it's a traditional fruit cake or ​a chocolate mud cake.
